Although I think award-hunting is for losers, my boss asked me to submit some work and it looks like I might win the Altweekly Award for Best Cover Design. Who cares? Well, I do! Yes! These Cycling and Golfing themed maps are part of Travel Oregon’s new ad campaign. I love working on these things. The team at W+K is super cool to work with, they basically let me paint whatever.

Mapping Oregon!!!

My art is part of a national ad campaign to get nice folks like you to come here and eat or food and drink our drinks. Pretty cool, eh? Check it out here.

A little history: About a year ago Travel Oregon made the Book of Oregon as a gift for Dan Wieden (since he’s had the account for 20 years). The book was a collection of ads W+K had made for Oregon and they asked me to make maps of the 7 regions. A year later it’s a national campaign. ZIP-ZINGER!!!

What’s next? Mapping California…stay tuned.
