The Portland MERCURY: Art direction and editorial design can sharpen the dullest tool in the shed. Want proof, wait till you see the next issue…

Oregon 365: Ginger and Patty invented this Oregon Tourism website, but Jen and I ran the show the second year. It’s pretty awesome, you should check it out.

NIKE: Here are two ads I made for the same shoe, but only one got to roll out the door. Which one do you think made it to print?
At the City Park: I think the city park is home to everyday athletes. Since Nike believes everyone is an athlete they should encourage them to go play in the park. Super star athletes get way to much coverage, it’s the regular people who are athletes that truly inspire.

Grass Hut only runs ads in Giant Robot. GH and GR are buddies.

Old Spice: It smells like grandpa (in a good way). I thought these posters would look awesome wheatpasted around town on old grandpa-type buildings.

Target: The Studio. Every holiday season people want to take family photos. Mostly it’s a joke, but wouldn’t it be rad if the holiday photography studio was made of snow???
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Half n’ Half and Acorn: I do branding and ad-making for them in trade. Who needs money when you got fancy sandwiches?
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Home Made Fonts: whatever you are saying feels more personal if it’s done by hand.

Is this art direction? I designed a belt buckle that looks like an elk head, that can open beer bottles with it’s mouth and hold a beer bottle in it’s antlers leaving your hands free to cast a fishing pole or flip a burger.
